Pop! Goes Writer’s Workshop

In the grade 3 Writer’s Workshop class we were learning how to write an informational paragraph. We started by taking notes about a book we read called, Pop! The History of Bubble Gum by Meaghan McCarthy.  We read about the first bubble gum ever invented, Dubble Bubble.  We then turned the notes into sentences and wrote our paragraphs.  We ended our lesson with a bubble gum blowing contest using Dubble Bubble bubble gum. For some students it was the first time they had ever blown a bubble!  Here are the paragraphs and the photos of the event.
