In addition to practicing punctuation rules, learning about and identifying parts of speech, spelling rules and handwriting, students are also working on several types of writing. We recently began a writing unit that teaches students more about writing a reflection, using questioning prompts. We are also exploring writing book reviews for fiction and non-fiction books. Students use 6 + 1 Traits to assist them in revising and editing their work before publishing.
